Essex County Presents Information on Annual Cherry Blossom Festival and Environmental Center Activities

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Spring has sprung in Essex County, and what better way to enjoy it than by attending the County's annual Cherry Blossom Festival activities or checking out the events at the Environmental Center in Roseland.

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced the line-up of activities for the 38th Annual Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival during a press conference in Essex County Branch Brook Park on Tuesday, April 1.The festival began on Saturday, April 5 with the Cherry Blossom Challenge Bicycle Race and will conclude on Sunday, April 13 with the Bloomfest community festival.

The cherry blossom display in Essex County Branch Brook Park boasts the most diverse collection of cherry blossom varieties in the world and it larger than the world-famous Washington, D.C. display.

In addition to the festival, the Environmental Center on Roseland Avenue has announced its lineup of spring events and programs, which feature activities for children, teens, and adults.
