SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Girl Scouts from South Orange and Maplewood set up a table in the South Orange train station on Friday not only to sell cookies to hungry commuters on their way home from work, but to spread the word about the controversial proposal to build a 880-foot dam in the South Mountain Reservation.
The girls handed out index cards with website addresses where people could learn more and sign the online petition to stop the dam. That petition may be found here.
