WESTFIELD, NJ – Although the studio has been open for a few months now, Saturday's Grand Opening signals the official beginning of a new Interior Design Center in Downtown Westfield. This is the second location for the family owned business that has been in existence for 30 years. Sisters Daniela and Gabriela Palumbo are the third generation of this formally educated designing family. This morning the studio was bustling with well-wishers including among others, family members, local residence, and members of the town council including Mayor Andrew Skibitsky. Soft drinks and sweet treats were served as everyone enjoyed welcoming the new business to town.

Shortly after the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mayor Skibitsky said, “We are so fortunate that even in these tough economic times we’ve had businesses move in to Westfield. Whenever you have a recession like the one we’ve had in the past five years, you know you’re going to loose businesses in town. But we’ve been fortunate that a lot of the Mom and Pop’s have expanded into larger spaces.” The mayor went on to say, “Every time a small business moves out of town or goes out of business, another one is really excited about coming to Westfield. That’s a great thing and it is also what makes Westfield so vibrant.”
