The Westfield Memorial Library is proud to have electric violinist Caryn Lin return to the library on Wednesday, July 30 at 7:00 pm. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.

The Cherry Hill, New Jersey native has played everywhere from Lincoln Center to Six Flags, the Kimmel Center to the Crayola Crayon Factory, to the 800th anniversary of a monastery in the French Alps. Caryn appeared playing her music in the movie "Philadelphia."

At the July 30 show she will play her electric violins and uses sound effects and looping to create short, on-the-spot recording of her violin, voice and percussion. Layers of sound over deceptively simple melodies result in music that is both other-worldly and totally catchy, mesmerizing and unique. It’s been described as eclectic, New Age and World.

The program is free and open to Westfield Memorial Library and MURAL cardholders. (MURAL cardholders belong to libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. Check our website to see if your library participates.) To register for the program, visit the library’s website at www.wmlnj.org and click on the Online Calendar, or call 908.789.4090 x7951.
