East Orange Chamber of Commerce Holds Mayor’s Luncheon To Support Youth Employment

EAST ORANGE, NJ - The East Orange Chamber of Commerce held a luncheon this past Thursday July 17, 2014 to highlight the coordinated efforts of Mayor Lester Taylor and the Chamber to provide meaningful summer employment for youths residing in the city. Proceeds from the luncheon went to help fund the Chamber’s Summer Youth Employment Program.
Mayor Taylor gave the keynote address to the members of the Chamber and an array of distinguished guests.
The Chamber has several events planned this year in support of their mission to support the city and promote commerce in the area. On August 16th the Chamber will hold a BBQ and Art Fund Raiser, in October an awards dinner and in December their annual holiday gathering and toy drive.
The purpose of the East Orange Chamber of Commerce is to support and promote the local East Orange business community. Since our inception in 1924 as part of the Chamber of the Oranges and Maplewood, the East Orange Chamber of Commerce has been actively involved in providing valuable resources, such as networking and information, to help our members
