PATERSON, NJ - Two men were arrested at a Park Avenue apartment Wednesday afternoon and face drug trafficking charges involving cocaine, heroin and marijuana, police said.
Arrested at 345 Park Avenue were 43-year-old Eric McRae, who lived at the apartment, and 24-year-old Travoy Pate of E. 39th Street, according to Capt. Troy Oswald, head of the police department's narcotics unit.
Police found 32.7 grams of crack, 26 baggies of crack, 135 glassine bags of heroin and 4.8 grams of marijuana at the apartment, police said. Pate was charged with possession of the drugs, possession with intent to sell the drugs, and possession with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of School 13, police said. McRae faces all the same charges as Pate and also charges of selling crack and heroin, police said.
Oswald said detectives arrested two people who bought drugs at the apartment just before McRae arrived at the scene.
Police arrested Wandaliz Sanchez, 28, of Rosa Parks Boulevard and charged her with possession of one vial of crack, Oswald said. They also arrested Christopher Ashman, 27, of Oak Ridge and charged him with possession of two bags of heroin, police said.
Officers arrested Sanchez and Ashman after they left the Park Avenue apartment and then busted the dealers at the home, police said.
