Dr. Erica Brown to Discuss “Jewish Identity in the 21st Century”

Dr. Erica Brown will be the guest speaker at “Jewish Identity in the 21st Century,” a free community forum, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, at the JCC of Central NJ, 1391 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains.
The event is being sponsored by the Jerry Waldor Institute of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ. Stacey Davis of Livingston is chair. Dr. Brown will lead a down-to-earth conversation about what the recently-released Pew Study really says about Jewish life today and share her prescriptions for moving the Jewish community forward.
The author of Leadership in the Wilderness: Authority and Anxiety in the Book of Numbers and Inspired Jewish Leadership, a National Jewish Book Award finalist, Dr. Brown is a writer and educator and serves as the Scholar-in-Residence for The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. She also consults for the Jewish Agency for Israel, a Federation partner agency, and other Jewish nonprofits. The former director of the Jewish Leadership Institute, she has degrees from Yeshiva University, University of London, Harvard University and Baltimore Hebrew University.
