Don't Forget: Register to Vote on School Budget in April

In the 2012 election, 35% of the 6,791 parents of students in the Chathams were not registered to vote, according to Education Counts (http://www.educationcounts.info).
 
Approximately one-third of potential voters, are not registered to vote.
Of the 4409 registered (parent) voters in the Chathams, only 1218 people voted in the 2012 election or 28%.
 
People concerned about active participation in the 2014 school budget election encourage parents to be sure to register to vote by April 2, 2014 using the link:

The school district is facing increasing costs such as medical expenses and insurance.  Also, there is an urgent need for equipment and teachers to serve STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
