Ordained Visions Ministries and Eventz4U are proud to present “Doggy Love Day” for Essex County’s youth on Sunday, March 10, 2013, from 11am-9pm  This exciting and informative fundraising event will begin with a “Dog Walk” at Military Park in Newark, followed by a visit to the Newark Animal Shelter, and then it is off to Club G6, located at 6 Goble Street in Newark, where children will have the opportunity meet with canine specialists and receive invaluable training, support and information.  This unique program concludes with a show by “The Dog Whisperer,” Cesar Millan, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Ordained Visions Ministries and Essex County loves canines, so “Doggy Love Day” is open to the entire community, but is specifically geared toward children of all ages.  This event is free of charge, but each child that participates is asked to help raise money to cover the cost of this wonderful program.  Donations to the Newark Animal Shelter and Ordained Visions Ministries are also strongly encouraged.  There is still plenty of space available for the day’s events, but seating for “The Dog Whisperer” is limited and advanced registration is required by contacting China at 855-426-2446 or info@iamchinastreet.com.

During this unique entertaining and educational event, children will learn how to properly love, nurture and care for their beloved canines.  The program’s activities include a dog walk at Military Park (feel free to bring your precious pooch, but don’t forget to leash and clean up after him/her), followed by a visit to the Newark Animal Shelter where OVM and participants will bring supplies and donations, followed by a series of activities and informational sessions wherein children and their families will have the opportunity to speak with a local veterinarian, a pet massage therapist, a dog groomer and to interact with the K9 Search and Rescue dogs as well as service dogs for the visually-impaired.  The evening ends with dinner and a movie, and then it is off to see “The Dog Whisperer” at NJPAC.  After the show is over, the children will return home with a goody bag full of great items, including a T-shirt, a hat, coloring books, and a Certificate of Completion for the day’s training program.  If your little one has a dog, or wants one, you will not want to miss out on this incredible event!

Ordained Visions Ministries (OVM) is a charitable organization and an outreach program that S.A.V.E.S: Supports, Advocates, Volunteers, Equips and Strengthens individuals, families and communities in every aspect of self-preservation in every area of life, regardless of race, color, gender identity, creed, income status, sexual orientation, religion, disability, marital status, political affiliation, age or national origin.

China Street, founder of OVM, says “I am doing this in memory of my son, who passed away two years ago.  He always wanted a dog, but we were never able to get one.  I would love to help other children learn how to love and care for their pet while also raising awareness about rescue shelters.”

For information or to make reservations, please contact China Street at 855-426-2446 or Denise Johnson at eventz_4u@.hotmail.com.  Don’t forget to follow Ordained Visions Ministries on Facebook at Ordained Visions Ministries.
