DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Lilly find her Forever Home

Robert Barnes

Friday, June 20, 2014 • 12:38pm

Lilly is a one year old Shepherd/Boxer mix.  She was one of the luckiest dogs in the world when she was rescued from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. The day she was scheduled to be put to sleep because her injured leg, Home for Good Dog Rescue representatives removed her from the shelter and took her to the local veterinarian for treatment. Fortunately, Lilly’s injury was just a cut that has since healed.

Lilly is now living with her New Jersey foster family awaiting adoption. She is being fostered in a home with three other dogs and four young children. She is a happy, affectionate dog that loves people. She gets along well with other dogs and children. Lilly is up-to-date with vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped. Given a second chance at life she is looking for that special person or family that she can spend the rest of her life with.

For more information on Lilly or any of the other dogs available through Home for Good Dog Rescue visit the Home for Good website (www.homeforgooddogs.org), call (908) 598-8212 or email info@hfgdr.org. If you are considering adopting Lilly or one of the other Home for Good dogs, please complete an online application.  A pre-approved application is required for all “meet and greets” and adoptions.

Let’s help Lilly and her HFG friends find their new “forever” homes!
