Temple B'nai Abraham Dinner in the Sukkah co-sponsored by Social Action Committee & Sisterhood on Friday, October 5, 7:30 PM(after 6;30 PM Kabbalat Shabbat Services)
Featured Speaker will be Andrea Carbine, co- owner of A Toute Heure and Jack’s Run Garden Topic: "Finding Your Inner Locavore" Better understanding the "locavore" movement and how to dig in through plate and practice in your daily life! A locavore is someone one who is committed to eating food that is grown or produced within their local community or region. Ms. Carbine, co- owner of A Toute Heure and Jack’s Run Garden has been credited with helping renew the "garden state’s" interest in fresh, locally-sourced food. Through her work at the bistro, and in the 4,000 square foot gardens of Jack’s Run, Ms. Carbine’s belief that "great communities are built on great food" is realized. Today, Ms. Carbine serves as farmer-in-training at Jack’s Run, keeps ATH running, and works to encourage fresh food in communities everywhere.
Dinner Couvert $25.00 per adult and special price of $15.00 per person for children (13 or under.). This year’s dinner menu will feature seasonally inspired vegetarian/dairy dishes showcasing locally available ingredients. RSVP by Friday September 28, Call the temple office at 973.994.2290
