Dig Into Local History with Westfield Historical Society

WESTFIELD, NJ— The Westfield Historical Society has announced extended hours for its archives and eight new tour dates for its Reeve History & Cultural Resource Center.
The Society’s archives, a rich collection of local-history materials including artifacts, photos and stories, are now available to the public more than ever. Located at the School Board Administration Building (302 Elm Street), the archives are available only on days that the building is open. The hours are now Tuesdays from 10 a.m. until noon and from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and on Thursdays from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Reeve History & Cultural Resource Center tours are set to take place on several Sundays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates: September 30, October 14, October 20, November 4, November 11, November 18, December 2 and December 16. The center is located at 314 Mountain Avenue in Westfield.
The October 20 tour will take place during the society’s Apple Fest fundraiser, which has a rain date of October 21.
