Det. Matthew Buntin of the Summit Police Department Juvenile Bureau was guest speaker at the Lincoln-Hubbard School’s PTO meeting held at the school on October 14.
Det. Buntin’s topic was stranger-awareness safety forc hildren. Two weeks prior, Det. Buntin spoke at an assembly of Lincoln-Hubbard School children about traffic and bike safety.
The Lincoln-Hubbard School PTO regularly invites guest speakers to its meetings. Summit Public Schools elementary counselors Jeff Lambert and Tom DeMuro will make a “Stand-Up to Bullying” presentation at the group’s November meeting.
For parents who cannot attend the meetings, the Lincoln-Hubbard PTO provides a PolyCom connection, which is similar to a conference call and provides the capability for a dialogue among the meeting attendees and presenter and the parents listening from their home or office.
