CHATHAM, NJ - Graham Delaney hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points and Luke Conrad scored 13 as Chatham won its boys basketball opener, 69-37, over Parsippany Hills on Friday night.

The Cougars started out slowly, scoring just eight points in the first quarter, but picked up the pace with their full-court press in the second quarter.

Chatham opened the second quarter with a 9-2 burst. Conrad started it off with a layup and then fed Colin McKenna inside for a basket. McKenna then hit one foul shot and Danny Winschuh scored consecutive baskets inside, the first on a steal and a behind-the-back pass from Conrad.

"I think we did a really solid job after the first quarter," Conrad said. "We caused a lot of turnovers and shared the ball well. There are things we can do better going forward, like taking better care of the ball. This gives us momentum going into Mount Olive on Monday."

The Cougars put the game out of reach when they opened the second half by scoring the first 14 points to build a 48-18 advantage. Winschuh ignited the run with a corner jumper, Delaney dropped in a 3-pointer and Conrad made a steal and converted it into a layup. Delaney followed with another 3-pointer before Bobby Raiola drove for two. Conrad capped the spree with a steal and a full-court dash for a layup.
