SOUTH ORANGE/MAPLEWOOD/MILLBURN, NJ -- Deals4Meals is making online ordering of food from local restaurants easier for its customers with an expanded roster of tasty choices and a robust new website.  Their newest reataurant, The Millburn Deli, is especially popular, and has never before offered delivery.

In November 2011, Seton Hall alumnus and Deals4Meals CEO Kenneth Cucchia launched a website providing simple online ordering for restaurants in the area, many of whom had never before offered delivery.  While the site worked just fine, Cucchia said that now, with the help of Maplewood graphic designer Derek Chase  and other programming provided by Brand Candy Media Group, the website is what he had always envisioned.

“We really invest in our clients," Cucchia said.  "We do more than just develop menus.”  Deals4Meals provides a unique online ordering experience and client restaurants receive assistance with generating coupons, web design, digital marketing and social media.

Restaurants also participate in a program where a portion of customer orders is donated to various charities, including The Valerie Fund, an organization dedicated to children with cancer and blood disorders, and the American Cancer Society.

“We basically set it up so that the customers can get a discount, and not only a discount, but they’re doing a good deed by donating money,” Cucchia said. “And our clients are huge helps in that, too, because they split their discounts with us, the ones that participate -- and the majority of them do -- so we really appreciate that, and I know the charities definitely appreciate it as well.”

Deal4Meals Happy Hour offers a discount is 7.77 percent on all restaurant purchases Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and also Monday through Thursday from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  The organization has also implemented cash back on purchases for customers; 1 percent cash back on all purchases every day and on Tuesdays, customers receive 2 percent back into their accounts.

TAP readers can save 20% off their next order using the coupon code ALTPRESS. (Thanks, Kenny!)  Social media also provide additional ways to save.

“We post good deals on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter all the time that aren’t featured on the website,” Cucchia said. “Just this past Friday the 13th, we did 13 percent off every restaurant on the website. Friday is our busiest day, but for Friday the 13th we wanted to do something cool for customers and we gave them 13 percent off. No other online ordering service would give 13 percent off on their busiest day, but I don’t care about that, I care about happy customers.”

Deals4Meals is now also expanding into new service areas at Pace University in New York City and Westchester County.  The future looks bright for this South Orange based business.
