SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Corner Bakery Cafe is ready to “Feed the Day” in South Plainfield with the opening of the area’s first cafe on Monday, Aug. 18.

Whether it’s to discover the made-from-scratch Buttermilk Pancakes for breakfast, the signature Chicken Pomodori Panini for lunch, the Pesto Cavatappi for dinner, or a slice of bakery fresh Cinnamon Creme Cake for dessert, South Plainfield neighbors are invited to check out the brand-new location at 6400 Hadley Road across from the Middlesex Mall.

Corner Bakery Cafe will add excitement on opening day and throughout the first weeks of business with several delicious prizes and giveaways. On opening day, the first 100 guests through the door at 7 a.m. will receive a complimentary Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug and free daily refills of hand-roasted coffee for a year. Throughout the month, Corner Bakery Cafe will hold weekly drawings to award four lucky winners free grilled panini for a year. Finally, Corner Bakery Cafe will draw four weekly winners during the first month to receive one free large Corner Classic catering order.

As a way to give back to the local community, Corner Bakery Cafe will be accepting donations from Aug. 18-22 for the Pink SOCS Foundation, a South Plainfield-based non-profit organization that supports families that have been affected by cancer.

The South Plainfield cafe marks the first of 20 locations that local operating partner Andy Race and President and CEO Nirav Mehta of Yum & Chill Restaurant Group, NJ, plan to open in central and northern New Jersey over the next seven years.
