Cops Seize Loaded Gun During 4th Ward Drug Raid

PATERSON, NJ - The Paterson narcotics squad confiscated a loaded 40 caliber Taurus handgun during a drug raid at 196 Governor Avenue Friday night, according to Capt. Troy Oswald.
Police arrested 24-year-old Jaquawn Housey of of 529 Totowa and charged him with possession of the gun and 45 glassibe bags of heroin, Oswald said. Housey also wsa charged with intent to distribute the drugs, intent to distribue within 500 feet of a senior citizen building, resisting arrest and possession of a gun while distributing drugs, Oswald said. Housey also had a pending $1,800 arrest warrant.
Housey previously had been convicted of sexual assault charges.
The arrest was made at 7:30 pm, police said.
