Hatfield Township Police are asking the public's help in their search for an African-American couple who allegedly robbed an elderly woman of her Kohl's charge while at ShopRite on Forty Foot Road April 1, and then used it at Kohl's across the street.

Police released surveillance photos of the persons in question, and their vehicle, a gray Mazda with tinted windows.

Police said the couple targeted the 86-year-old woman inside the grocery store at Hatfield Pointe. The man distracted her, while his alleged female accomplice removed the alleged victim's change purse that had money and the card, police said.

The couple then left in the Mazda, which appeared to a have New York license plate, police said.

They were then spotted ten minutes later on surveillance purchasing more than $1,200 worth of items from Kohl's at 2333 Welsh Road in the township, police said, using the stolen charge card.

The woman is described as heavyset, in her mid-40s and wearing a white shirt, police said.

The man is in his mid-30s, police said, and was wearing blue jeans, tan boots and a multi-colored-diamond sweater, police said.
