Copper Pipes Targeted in South Orange Break-In

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – (A weekly roundup of SOPD activity) A Vose Avenue resident reported that someone entered his home through a basement window and attempted to remove copper piping. Nothing was reported missing.
Police said it appeared the burglar tried to enter through first-floor windows but was unsuccessful. The break-in occurred between 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and 7 p.m. Feb. 19
A Meeker Street resident said that someone threw a rock through her bathroom window at around 11 p.m. on Feb. 21. The resident told police she heard the glass break but did not see anyone.
In other police news, police made two arrests on outstanding warrants and one arrest for possession of marijuana.
