For more than five years, Devan Sipher has written for the Vows wedding column in the Styles section of The New York Times. 

He graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan and received an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.  He has written for other publications including the Forward and the Huffington Post, and he is a former junior cantor at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, MI. The Wedding Beat is his first novel which is the fictional story of a wedding reporter and his search for his own “happily ever after.”
