Seventh-grade students in Congregation Beth Israel’s Religious School in Scotch Plains participated in the JCC of Central New Jersey’s teen program, “Challah for Dollah” on October 17. The students baked challah (traditional Shabbat bread) and sold the loaves for a dollar. Proceeds from the sale will go to a charity of the students’ choosing. This program is open to all 6th-8th graders. For more information, call Lindsay Napchen, JCC Teen Director, at 908-889-8800, or Elly Bauman, Education Director of Congregation Beth Israel, at 908-889-1830.
