Congregation Beth Israel Members Honored as “Man of the Year” and “Youth of the Year”

Steven Garsh and Gabrielle Sabony, members of Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains, were honored as their synagogue’s “Man of the Year” and “Youth of the Year” respectively at the Northern New Jersey Region of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs dinner, held at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, November 15, 2012.  Steve is a past president of Congregation Beth Israel’s Men’s Club and Gabi is the current president of the synagogue’s chapter of United Synagogue Youth (USY).

The Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs presents awards annually to recognize volunteers who have been active leaders within their communities.   Congregation Beth Israel is affiliated with The United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism and has an active Men’s Club and youth program.  It is located at 18 Shalom Way, Scotch Plains (corner of Martine Avenue).  For synagogue information, call (908) 889-1830.
