Community Mourns Passing of Jessie Patterson, HomeTowne TV Station Manager

SUMMIT, NJ - Jesse R. Patterson, 31, of Summit, passed away at Overlook Hospital on April 19.  Patterson served as the station manager of Summit-based HomeTowne Television for more than a decade.

Memorial visiting hours will be held at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Avenue on April 23, from 4-8 p.m., with a time of remembrance at 7 p.m.  For further information or to send a condolence, go to bradleyfuneralhomes.com.

Born in Nutley, and raised in Rockaway where he graduated from Morris Hills High School in 2000, Patterson lived in Summit for the past five years.  While at Morris Hills, he was a member of the fencing team and was involved with television production.  He graduated from the College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in communications.  He was a member of the executive board at Jersey Access Group (JAG), and was a member of Home For Good Dog Rescue in Summit.  He was a beekeeper, loved reading, video games, and travel, as well as playing drums with his band.

Patterson was married to Jerusha Veres, and was the son of Robert and Gloria Patterson, and brother of Rachel Wainer.   He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Leslie Veres, and sister-in-law, Jolyn Veres, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
