CALDWELL, NJ - In little less than a week, Caldwell will be the site of reindeers, large and small, prancing through the streets and all for a good cause.  Trinity Academy is hosting their Second Annual “5K Reindeer Run” and the organizers and ready for this year to be a great success!

Essex Fells’ Kelly King commented, “We’re hoping everyone comes out to get some exercise and ring in the season on Saturday, December 1, at 9:30 am! This is a 5K run/walk sanctioned by New Jersey Track and Field and we’ll also have a Santa Sprint for the kids from ages 4 to 7 years-old.”

Also on this morning, there will be a load of fun things for everyone to participate in, even if they aren’t running:
Organizer Jamie DiGiovanni commented, "We’ll have a fun Winter Festival with activities and rides that the whole family can enjoy.  Plus they can shop for the holidays with some local vendors, and get their photo taken with Santa!  We’re also really fortunate that Forte Pizzeria and Restaurant is the main food sponsor and will be providing the food.”

Another organizer, Ava Reynolds stated, “We’re going to be giving out goody bags to the first 500 runners and awarding prizes to the racers.  We are a certified USATF-NJ 500 Point Grand Prix race.”

In order to raise money for Trinity Academy, there are sign-up fees for runners / walkers:
$30 for ages 15 and up
$20 for ages 8 to 14
$10 for ages 4 to 7 who’ll be particpating in the Santa Sprint

Kelly King continued, “Our Winter Festival will be right at Trinity Academy - 235 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell. And the starting line for the race is at the intersection of Forest Avenue and Hatfield Avenue.”
