CLARK, NJ - The Township of Clark will honor its fallen war heroes during its annual Memorial Day Parade and Service on Monday, May 26 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The parade forms along Westfield Avenue and steps off from Nassau Street.  It will proceed west on Westfield Avenue, over the Parkway bridge to a reviewing stand at the Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School.  A wreath laying ceremony will be conducted in front of the high school immediately following the parade.

Groups marching in the parade include the Arthur L. Johnson High School Marching Band, the Boy and Girl Scouts, sports clubs, civic organizations, political groups, emergency responders and local businesses.  Participants have been assigned a meeting place according to the above map.

Parade chairman Alvin Barr asked anyone not marching in the parade to come out and be a spectator. Barr, who is also a member of the Clark Town Council, spoke at the council meeting Monday night. “Let us not forget the reason we have Memorial Day,” he said, encouraging residents to remember the true meaning of the day.
