City of Summit Common Council Reorganization: A New Start
Monday, January 13, 2014 • 10:33am
Here is a thought for members of council.
Picture yourself standing in a clearing about to enter the heavy underbrush of municipal policy making. You see two paths forward. One path is well-worn and one is barely visible but looks like a more direct and promising route to your destination.
The well-worn path is easy to follow since it has been marked by City staff. However, it is known to have deep ruts and sinkholes that are sure to make your effort more difficult and delay progress.
The less travelled path will require cutting away some obstructions and being guided by True North. Despite this additional effort, a more productive trip to your destination is possible.
All the best to Common Council in the New Year,
