City Man Walks in On Burglary

PATERSON, NJ - A 62-year-old city man stumbled upon a burglary when he came home for lunch on Monday afternoon, police said.
While walking towards his home on the 200 block of 8th Avenue, the victim noticed a grey van parked out front with someone in the driver's seat, police said. Then, he spotted the side door of his home was open, and suddenly a walk came out carrying a computer monitor, police said.
The suspect threw the computer towards the resident and the two burglars drove off, police said. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Det. Steve Leishman at 973-321-1120.
