City Man Murdered in 4th Ward Friday Morning

PATERSON, NJ - A 40-year-old Paterson man was found shot to death near the corner of Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard just before 5 am on Friday, police said.
Authorities identified the victim as Frederick Hall. Police officers found him on the street with at least one gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, police said.
The investigation remains in its preliminary stages and police would not comment on a possible motive or provide details on the circumstances of the shooting. Authorities also would not say how many times Hall was shot nor what part of his body was wounded.
The killing is being investigated by Sgt. Dave Rios and Detectives Steve Leishman and Steve Iacuzzo of the Paterson police department along with Det. Mark Peterson of the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call 973-321-1120.
