City Gets $106,632 to Cover Workers Comp Claim

PATERSON, NJ - The City Council has agreed to accept a $106,632 payment to settle a lawsuit involving a crash between a city fire truck and another vehicle.
The city initially paid $97,944 to cover Fire Captain Anthony Camel’s workers’ compensation claim from the crash, which happened in July 2012. The city’s settlement with the insurance company for the truck will cover the cost of the payment to Camel.
