Chill! Antibullying film contest for Middle and High School students

Spirit of the Arts Foundation

Monday, January 21, 2013 • 8:55am

Bullying has become a major issue in our communities, both in schools, in Cyberspace and in the work place.  Spirit of the Arts Foundation is currently producing an all new and exciting antibullying project called Chill!.

In conjunction with this endeavor, they are sponsoring a contest for a short video to be used as the official film for "Chill!".  This new antibullying project is geared toward students in grades 6 to12.  The film must be produced completely by students.  The length of the film is a minimum of 5 minutes and maximum of 15 minutes.  All pertinent information about the project, logos and other materials will be available to contestants prior to the start of their project.

Impartial students will judge the content value of the film and a professional film company will review the entries for technical skills.  The skills should be representative of the age of the entrant.  They want to be sure that it is truly the work of the student and not a professional film maker.  This must be an original film and not one that has been released and seen previously.

There will be three winners; first, second and third place and cash awards will be announced at time of registration.

The entries must be received by April 5, 2013.  For additional information and a registration form, please contact Sandy @ 973-875-2068 or email sandy@sotafoundation.org.
