Childhood Cancer Coin Toss

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The month of September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the people of Spotswood are doing all they can to raise awareness and money for one of their own. Every three minutes somewhere in the world a parent hears the words, “Your child has cancer," four terrifying words that change families and impact lives.
Two years ago Carolyn and Chris DePalma heard those very words about their son Joseph. For two years Carolyn, Chris, their family, and most of all Joseph have been fighting back. Residents of Spotswood, Helmetta, and Milltown, as well as many other surrounding towns, will step into the ring for the DePalma family and take the fight to childhood cancer at the second annual Coin Toss for Joseph on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the corner of Main Street and Devoe Avenue in Spotswood from noon to 4 p.m.
