Making plans for St. Patrick's Day? Make sure they include Darby Road! We will be hosting our first annual St. Patrick's Day Festival on March 15, 16 & 17. The festival kicks off on Friday night at 6pm and will run through Sunday at midnight in our heated tent. Inside the tent we will have traditional Irish fare available for purchase, a cash bar, live entertainment, Irish step dancing, face painting and pony rides. Admission/cover charge is $5 per day and 100% of the proceeds go to the Police Athletic League.
Here are some details to make sure you don't miss any of the fun! Friday's party kicks off the festival at 6pm. Live entertainment will feature "Patty & the Pale Boys" from 7-11pm. The festival continues on Saturday and Sunday! Family activities on Saturday from 12pm-4pm include face painting, pony rides and traditional Irish dancing provided by the Marie Moore School of Irish Dance. Saturday's live entertainment includes music by "Off The Wagon" from 4pm to 8pm followed by DJ, Red Rum who will play until closing. Sunday's activities kick off again at 12:00 pm. Family activities on Sunday from 12pm-4pm include face painting, pony rides and traditional Irish dancing provided by the Deirdre Shea School of Irish Dancing from 12pm-2pm. Sunday's live entertainment will feature "Spontaneous Corruption" from 12:00-2:30 followed by "The Raggle Taggle Gypsy-O's" until 6 pm. The evening entertainment will be started by "The Ryan Tennis and Club House Band" from 6pm-9pm followed by "Spooge", the band fronted by Darby Road bartender Tommy Diaz who will play until midnight.
