Chatham Youth Wrestlers Dominate Wharton's Junior Knights, 78-23

WHARTON, NJ - The Chatham Cougar youth wrestling club scored a 78-23 victory over the Wharton Junior Knights on Thursday.

Cambyses Khani (50 pounds) got the team off to a great start with a first period pin; Teddy Joel (55) lost  a 12-11 heartbreaker; Darius Khani (60) then pinned his opponent. in the first period; Collin Boler (65) earned the team 6 points with a forfeit.

Chatham then got pins from John Rohe (70), Michael Rohe (75), Aedan Joel (80) and Willie O'Neill (85). Jack Barret (90) got a forfeit and Cyrus Khani (95) pinned his opponent in the second period; Jacob Mahon (109) and Drew Mitzak (116) both received  forfeits.

Mahon then went up two weight classes to take on the Jr Knights' 123 pounder. Despite giving up 20 pounds, Mahon wrestled very well against his bigger opponent. Niccolo Colucci (130) then pinned his opponent in the first period.

Brandon Dean (50), Jackson Hodges (70), Luke Pacchia (75), Connor Cortese (80) and Jeramie Pollard (137) all wrestled very well in their exhibition matches.
