Chatham Team Undefeated

READINGTON, NJ - The Boys 5th grade Chatham Blue travel team is in the midst of a truly remarkable season. The team is 10-0, alone atop the standings in the American division.
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, the team traveled down to play their toughest matchup to date, the second-place Readington, who at 8-1 was right on their heels. The boys responded with their best effort of the season, a 48-24 victory that saw major contributions from every player on the roster.
This Chatham team is outsized by their rivals every game, consistently giving away 3-4 inches to our opponents big men. But this team runs, they get out quickly into the fast break and they press their opponents almost the entire game.
This game plan requires depth, and this Chatham team has it. Its group of tremendously talented guards includes Jack Casano-Boris, Luke McAloon, Jack Fitzgerald, Cam Druhot and Matt Andres. The team also boasts a group of terrific swing men who play both the guard spots and down low depending on our matchups.
Those players are James Platek, Jack Blanc, Griffin Kology and Nick Jones. And banging down low night in and night out are Henry White and Jack Ryan.
The coaching staff is led by head coach, Jim White, who is assisted by Jim Platek and Mike Andres.
“We have 11 wonderful families in our program, with boys who work hard in practice, support each other, and leave everything out on the floor every game” Coach White said. “We have had several close games that have come down to the wire, and we have been fortunate enough to come away on the winning end each time. That speaks volumes about these boys focus and determination. They make my job easy”.
