CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham High School Robotics Teams started practice in their new home, Classroom C138 in the Science department of the High School.

"We are very happy with this new arrangement where the students can actuallty practice at the high school they will represent," ChathamSTEM's Nabil Mouline said.

The teams practiced setting up and putting down the regulation size field, tested light interference with the light sensors, Infra-red and magnetic field interference in additiom to Wifi jam.

"The classrooms offer an environment that is compatible with the conditions of the competition," Mouline said. "With the addition of a coach and a team of mentors, the Chatham Robotics Teams will be able to competitively represent the high school."

In previous years, space was not available so the only options for the Robotics team was to practice in a private location. Teams could not expand very much, and given the circumstances they did pretty well in past years. With a practice field available at the school, the team will be able to practice every day of the week, if needed.

"Our thanks go the Robo Invaders and the Sullit family who pioneered Robotics in Chatham, exactly a decade ago," Mouline said. "We are just following in their footsteps and taking the program to the next level. Our thanks go also to the current high school principal, Mr. Groh, and the staff that are giving the Chatham High School Robotics Teams access to the school facilities so they can that they can safely and comfortably practice and prepare to represent the high school n the local, state, regional and national competitions."

The Robotics teams will be exhibiting at community functions and are inviting prospective members to contact them at chathamftc@gmail.com
