Chatham Residents Will Run For Their Turkey At The 4th Annual Thanksgiving Day Chatham Highlands Turkey Trot
1 Mile Family Fun Run & 5K Race Will Benefit the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Diabetes Research Institute
WHAT: As a kick-off to the Holiday Season The Chatham Turkey Trot will host its 4th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot in the Highlands section of Chatham Township, NJ. Proceeds of the race will benefit the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Diabetes Research Institute.
WHERE: The corner of Seminole Way and Van Houton Avenue, Chatham, NJ.
WHEN: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2012
- 8:00 AM – Registration/warm-ups
- ~ 8:30 AM – 1 Mile Family Fun Run
- ~ 9:00 AM – Program/National Anthem - 5K Race follows
- ~ 9:50 AM – Award ceremony follows the conclusion of the race.
PHOTO-OP: The Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department will hang a 50-foot American flag from Ladder 12 (its 100 foot aerial ladder truck) above the starting line under which runners will position themselves for the start of the race. Runners will then race through one of the most scenic neighborhoods of Chatham Township.

The Chatham Turkey Trot
The Chatham Turkey Trot is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It organizes and hosts the annual Chatham Highlands Turkey Trot, a 1 Mile Family Fun Run and 5K Race in which runners race through the scenic Highlands section of Chatham Township, NJ on Thanksgiving Day.
