Chatham Residents Run for Their Turkey on Thanksgiving; Fifth Annual Turkey Trot Benefits Diabetes Research

CHATHAM, NJ - Registration for the fifth annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot is under way.

The one-mile family fun race and 5K will benefit the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Diabetes Research Institute. In 2012, 435 runners participated, helping to raise $14,300 for these two organizations.

About The Chatham Turkey Trot

The Chatham Turkey Trot is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It organizes and hosts the annual Chatham Turkey Trot, a one-mile Family Fun Run and 5K Race in which runners race through the scenic Highlands section of Chatham Township on Thanksgiving Day. Since 2009, The Chatham Turkey Trot has raised more than $25,000 for the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the DiabetesResearch Institute.
