Chatham Police Arrest Newark Woman for DWI

On January 14, 2012 at 3:17 a.m., Officer Kelly Sretenovic stopped a vehicle on Shunpike Road for a speeding violation. A subsequent roadside investigation by Officer Sretenovic determined that the driver, Iesha Clinton 30 of Newark, was operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Clinton was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters and processed. She was later released on her own recognizance to a friend. Clinton is scheduled to appear in municipal court on January 24, 2012.
