CHATHAM, NJ - Football teams in Chatham will be collecting food this weekend to replenish supplies desperately needed at the Father English Food Pantry in Paterson, which helps feed struggling families and their children.

The Pantry needs a quick and abundant influx of non-perishable food items. Please bring canned goods, boxed meals and any non-perishables to practice at Lum Field on Saturday, Oct. 26 and games at Cougar Field on Sunday, Oct. 27. There will also be collection bins at Shunpike field for all FLAG games on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Suggestions for donations include: Beans, rice, canned vegetables/fruits and soup are most needed. Empty your cupboards or stock up at the store – Many donations are needed! Grocery store gift cards (Shop Rite preferred) and cash will also be accepted.

There will be marked collection bins at Lum and Shunpike Fields on Saturday and at Cougar Field on Sunday.

Looking for another way to help? Just go to http://www.yougivegoods.com/drive.php?id=2135 to purchase the food you would like to donate and YouGiveGoods will deliver the food to the Father English Center Food Pantry and email you a tax receipt.  The online food drive deadline is Oct. 31
