Chatham Boys and Girls Hoops Teams Receive Bye in Morris County Tournament; Home Doubleheader for First Round Set for Feb. 8

DENVILLE, NJ - The Chatham boys and girls teams each earned a bye in preliminary round of the Morris County Tournament after separate seeding meetings were held for the Morris County Tournament on Sunday at Morris Catholic.
The boys gained the seventh seed behind 1-Mount Olive, the defending champion. 2-Jefferson. 3-Morristown. 4-Mendham. 5-Hanover Park. 6-West Morris. Morris Catholic is the eighth seed.
The girls are the No. 4 seed and will play host to the winner of the preliminary matchup between No. 20 Dover and No. 13 Parsippany Hills.
Chatham will be at home for a first-round doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 8, with the girls playing their MCT game at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 p.m.
The top eight seeds for the MCT girls are: 1-Morris Catholic, the defending champion. 2-West Morris. 3-Randolph. 4-Chatham. 5-Mount Olive. 6-Morristown-Beard. 7-Jefferson. 8-Hanover Park.
The preliminary-round matchups for the boys are: No. 17 Whippany Park at No. 16 Delbarton; No. 18 Roxbury at No. 15 Morris Knolls; No. 19 Morris Hills at No. 14 Mountain Lakes; No. 20 Kinnelon at No. 13 Dover; No. 21 Boonton at No. 12 Randolph; No. 22 Madison at No. 11 Pequannock; No. 23 Butler at No. 10 Montville; No. 24 Parsippany Hills at No. 9 Morristown-Beard. No. 25 Parsippany at No. 8 Morris Catholic.
