On October 5 shortly before midnight, Detective Daniel Walsh was observing the parking lot at the River Grille on River Road. He observed three individuals enter a Jeep Liberty parked in the lot. When it appeared that the occupants were just sitting in the car and not going anywhere, Walsh approached the car to investigate. The front passenger, later identified as Anthony Natale age 25 of New Providence, immediately exited the vehicle and pushed his way past Walsh. Natale then threw something over a fence at the edge of the parking lot. While Walsh was dealing with Natale, the other two occupants of the car walked back into the River Grille. Other officers arrived on the scene to assist, and a small glassine bag containing suspected cocaine was located where Natale threw the object over the fence. The owner of the Jeep, Lisa Kretschmer age 23 of New Providence, was located and a consent search of her car revealed loose white powder suspected to be cocaine, another glassine bag containing suspected cocaine and a container of suspected marijuana. With the assistance of the management of the River Grille, one of the two other suspects in the car was identified as Patrick Fellinger age 25 of New Providence.

Natale and Kretschmer were arrested at the scene and charged as follows:

Anthony Natale – Possession of CDS (Cocaine), Tampering with Evidence, Possession of less than 50 grams of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. He was processed and released.

Lisa Kretschmer – Possession of less than 50 grams of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. She was processed and released.

Patrick Fellinger was arrested on October 10 and charged with Possession of CDS (Cocaine), Obstruction and Possession of Paraphernalia. He posted $1,000 bail and was released.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

All persons charged with an offense are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
