Celebrate Mardi Gras at the Roseland Library on Sunday

ROSELAND, NJ - The Roseland Free Public Library is hosting a Mardi Gras Party and all are invited. They'll be celebrating Carnival Season in style this Sunday with a huge assortment of free family fun and entertainment.
“Save the date, Sunday, Feb. 17!” expressed the Library Director Christopher Lee. “Go for the gold, and green and purple! Join us in celebrating and learning about Carnival Season with live musical entertainment by Pete Gumbo and the Bayou Ramblers, a magic show, face painting, and traditional New Orleans food. Come in costume or a festive mask at the very least!”

Guests are invited to come in costume or at least dress in gold, green and purple. Food offerings will include a sampling of gumbo, jambalaya, and king cake. Booklets exploring the history of Mardi Gras will be provided for party favors.

The program runs from 1pm to 5pm, and the band will perform from 2pm to 4pm. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Call 973-226-8636.
