MADISON, NJ - On Saturday, September 15, the cast and crew of Lost in the Field hosted a fundraiser-barbeque in Madison.  Lost in the Field is an upcoming dramatic musical that reveals the frequency of child abuse in the foster care system.  Viewers were given a sneak peak performance of this true story and were able to meet the writer, Keith E. Brown and composer, Kurt Goldstein.  The audience included foster care children who clapped with appreciation during the last line, “one day I am going to tell the world what really happens here, the world needs to know.” 

This play tells the story of “John Brown” and 4 other children who are victims of the “System.”  This story is about having the courage to pursue self worth.

The Elks Club of Madison embraced this honorable cause by providing a performance space and grounds.  The festivities also included arts and crafts, raffles and a live band called The Back Beats. 

Lost in the Field consists of professional actors, musicians and artists who are committed to telling this story in an entertaining way while proving its legitimacy.  Real facts, real photos and real statistics are presented as part of this researched cause. 

Writer/Director Keith E. Brown said, "this show is unique and necessary. As a performance, it is enjoyable but it is unlike anything you have ever seen because it is result-oriented and my team and I are going to make the System change." 

Lost In The Field will donate portions of its ticket sales to foster care children and underprivileged children.
