Carlos Arenas Wanted for Attempted Murder in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ - The Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit has issued this statement seeking the whereabouts of Carlos Arenas as the suspected shooter in an incident that took place on June 19 in broad daylight on North 7th Street. Arenas is wanted for attempted murder.
Here is the official statement:
On Wednesday June 19, 2013 at approximately 4 p.m., Paterson Police Patrol units were dispatched to St. Joseph’s Hospital (Wayne) on a report of a gunshot victim arriving by private vehicle. On arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his right rear shoulder area. The victim advised that he was parked and sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle on North 7th Street near Oxford Street speaking with a male friend when he heard a single gunshot at which time the passenger door window broke and he was struck in the shoulder.
An investigation into this incident was conducted by Detectives Rolando Polio and Dave Tanis of the Ceasefire Unit and during the course of their investigation they were able to identify the person depicted in this photo, CARLOS ARENAS, as the suspected shooter in this incident. Complaints have been signed against Mr. Arenas for ATTEMPTED MURDER, POSSESSION OF a WEAPON & POSSESSION OF a WEAPON FOR UNLAWFUL PURPOSES.
