We are On the Pink Crusade! And, We Have Taken It on the Road
Join over 100 Breast Cancer Survivors and Family Members on Sunday, October 13, at The Mall at Short Hills
(Livingston, NJ) Gina D’Innocenzio knew there was a strong history of breast cancer on both sides of her family. Gina had high hopes anyway—not only for a long life, but also for becoming a mother. Gina’s OB felt a breast lump during a routine exam. Following a mammography and ultrasound, the lump was found to be malignant. Breast Cancer struck at the young age of 36. Her dreams were all but broken. Despite this devastating diagnosis, chemotherapy and surgery, Gina was more determined than ever to have a child. With the odds against her, Gina was able to fulfill her wish. Five years later, Gina is the proud and grateful mother of an infant son, born healthy and handsome despite the rigors of his mom’s cancer journey.
We are taking our message on the road and have partnered with The Mall at Short Hills and 46 stores within the Mall to spread the message of early detection. Join Saint Barnabas Medical Center and The Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, meet Gina and the survivors featured on the life-sized Pink Crusade display located in Grand Court of the mall. Come and spread the message about early detection and prevention.
