Caldwell College April 26 Presidential Scholarship Gala to Honor Business Leaders

CALDWELL, NJ – Caldwell College’s 38th annual Presidential Scholarship Gala will honor former Chubb Corporation COO and Vice Chairman John J. Degnan and President and CEO of NJM Insurance Group Bernard “Bernie” Flynn, Esq. The event will be held Friday, April 26 at Mayfair Farms in West Orange.

A reception will begin at 6pm and dinner will be served at 7pm.  Musical entertainment for the dinner will be provided by Total Soul.  The event is Black Tie optional.  All monies raised at the Gala benefit the Caldwell College Scholarship Fund; tickets are $350 each.

Degnan, a resident of Chester, currently serves as senior advisor to the CEO at The Chubb Corporation. He was previously vice chairman and chief administrative officer for the corporation. He joined Chubb & Son, a division of Federal Insurance Company, in 1990, and held titles including senior vice president and general counsel.

Flynn, a resident of Delran, has served as President and CEO of NJM since April 2008 and Chairman of the Board of NJM Bank since 2009. Since joining NJM in 1993 as a staff attorney, Flynn subsequently was named Vice President and General Counsel in 2001 and Senior Vice President and General Counsel in 2004.
