BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The cadets of the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad gave time during their Thanksgiving Day holiday to support a local blood drive in our community. They worked effortlessly planning and helping organize the blood drive along with the local scout group, Venture Crew 368.

As the blood drive came to an end on Black Friday, the BHVRS cadets quickly got back into action to continue with their local food drive for the community. The cadets are working hard to raise awareness of hunger in the community and across the nation.

The cadets have food drop-off locations at BH Rescue Squad, (378 Snyder Avenue), Stop & Shop, BH EMO, Yogoccino, Deena's Delights, BH Fire Department, Kings in Gillette, and A&P in New Providence. All proceeds donated will go to the Little Flower Food Pantry in Berkeley Heights.

The cadets will collect food donations this Saturday, December 7th, at the Berkeley Heights Tree Lighting Ceremony, at 5 p.m. Please bring your food donations, and look for the BHVRS cadets. We thank you for your support.
