Cabaret For The Cure - Special Night Of Entertainment, May 9
Thursday, May 1, 2014 • 10:20am
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - On Friday, May 9, Gov. Livingston students and teachers will perform "Cabaret for the Cure" to raise money for "Daddy's Crew" Relay for Life Team in honor of Ken Stiefel.
Stiefel, the technical director at Gov. Livingston, was diagnosed last year and continually inspires all of the students involved with the theater and TV departments at the high school.
"The students affectionately call him 'daddy'," said Susan LaMaita. A group of students, teachers and alumni have joined together to be part of "Daddy's Crew" and many of them will be performing at the cabaret. This will be the second year they perform to raise money for the cure.
The theme of the cabaret is LIGHT and HOPE. The public is invited to come for a night of great music to fight towards a world without cancer.
"Cabaret for the Cure" will be held at the Gov. Livingston High School Theater, 175 Watchung Blvd., Berkeley Heights on May 9 at 6 p.m.
Donation suggestion per ticket: $10 for adults and $5 for students.
