Every 10^th day of October, a national campaign in the United States called “Put the Brakes on Fatalities” is held. It focuses attention on the reasons why there are transportation fatalities and how to avoid them. It encourages drivers to be exceptionally careful for at least a day, making sure that there will be no accidents on the road for at least one day.

"Safe driving applies to everyone on the road, every day. Motorists are sharing the road with motorcyclists and cyclists as well as each other. Whether you’re riding on four wheels or two, all drivers need to stay alert, be aware of each other and avoid distractions while driving to help reduce fatalities," according to John F. Ciaffone, President of TransOptions, northwest New Jersey’s Transportation Management Association.

Every time you get behind the wheel, you are expected to dry safely and with presence of mind. This includes not only getting aware about other cars, people crossing and everything moving on the road, but also checking your personal condition as well as your car.

Road accidents can be the result of lax driving practices and faulty brakes. Thus, Brake-o-Rama joins this “Put the Brakes on Fatalities Awareness” by offering free car inspection not only every 10^th of October, but in everyday of the year. This is to make sure that all cars in New Jersey are running in condition to prevent cases of traffic incidents.
