You can’t help but notice the gaggle of colorful balloons bouncing in the breeze, announcing the all-new Bohemian Raspberry, a casual, friendly, Coffee and Yogurt Shop that recently opened on the South Side of Westfield. A perfect place to relax with your morning cup of Bohemian Raspberry’s own private blend of premium coffee or espresso, and the place to gather with friends, business associates, or a group of kids for any and all reasons...or simply to read a good book.
Another very special features includes a daily delivery of delicious Balthazar pastries. What could be more enticing than a freshly prepared sticky bun chock full of raisins, a croissant or scone and a cup of freshly brewed artisan coffee?
Owned by best friends Barry Goldenberg a professional, advertising, commercial photographer from Cranford, Village Super Market Executive John Sumas of Morristown, and Tom Kazas proprietor of Hometown Coffee Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“We always dreamed of owning a business together,” said Goldenberg. “When the property became available, we decided to not only open a full-service yogurt shop, but one that offers ice cream, and fresh fruit smoothies. We believe South Avenue is the perfect place for our first Bohemian Raspberry Shop.”
“Bohemian Raspberry offers 16 flavors of frozen yogurt, ice cream and sorbet. The most popular flavors are pumpkin, thin mint, cake batter, Island Banana, Coffee, and Peanut butter.”
“For those that are lactose intolerant, we offer nondairy sorbets,” he continued. “For those that are on reduced sugar diets, we offer three no-sugar added flavors. They are coffee, chocolate and vanilla. We also listen to our customers. If they favor a particular flavor, we do our best to include it among all the others we feature.”
Mickey and Ernie Fox of Cranford stopped by to welcome Bohemian Raspberry to Westfield. “We’ve been friendly with the Goldenberg family for years,” said Ernie Fox. “We just love the Bohemian Raspberry Shop. All of the yogurt flavors taste really delicious. Not only is the space attractively decorated, there is comfortable seating, for friends and family, plus a very helpful staff.”

“With the coming of the fall season, our pumpkin yogurt is really delicious,” said Kevin Ortiz Manager. “Many folks think we are just a yogurt or coffee place. but in addition to serving premium coffee, we offer espresso, lattes, frappes, real ice cream, yogurt, smoothies and cappuccino. You’ll also appreciate our friendly, courteous staff who is always there to assist with whatever you need.”
